International Sailing Federation
The International Sailing Federation (ISAF), now known as World Sailing, is the governing body for the sport of sailing worldwide. Established in 1907, it oversees international competitions, sets rules for the sport, and promotes sailing as a recreational activity. The organization works to ensure fair play and safety in sailing events, including the prestigious Olympic Games.
World Sailing also supports the development of sailing at all levels, from grassroots to elite competition. It provides resources and training for sailors, coaches, and officials, fostering a global community of sailing enthusiasts. The federation collaborates with national sailing organizations to promote the sport and its values.
