International Mathematics Olympiad
The International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) is an annual competition for high school students from around the world. It aims to promote mathematical creativity and problem-solving skills. Each participating country sends a team of up to six students, accompanied by a leader and a deputy leader. The competition consists of challenging mathematical problems that test students' abilities in various areas of mathematics.
Founded in 1959, the IMO has grown to include over 100 countries. Participants tackle six problems over two days, with each problem worth seven points. The event fosters international collaboration and encourages young mathematicians to excel in their studies.
