International Master
An International Master (IM) is a title awarded by the World Chess Federation (FIDE) to chess players who demonstrate a high level of skill and achievement in the game. To earn this title, players must achieve a specific rating and complete a set number of tournament performance requirements, showcasing their ability to compete at an international level.
The IM title is one step below the highest title, Grandmaster (GM), and is recognized worldwide. It allows players to participate in prestigious tournaments and often serves as a stepping stone for those aspiring to reach the GM title in their chess careers.
