International Development Association (IDA)
The International Development Association (IDA) is a part of the World Bank Group that provides financial and technical assistance to the world's poorest countries. Established in 1960, its primary goal is to reduce poverty and promote sustainable economic growth by offering low-interest loans and grants.
IDA focuses on projects that improve infrastructure, education, health, and agriculture, among other sectors. By supporting these initiatives, the IDA aims to enhance living conditions and foster development in countries that often lack access to traditional financial markets.
