International Baseball Federation
The International Baseball Federation (IBAF) is the global governing body for the sport of baseball. Founded in 1938, it oversees international competitions, including the Baseball World Cup and the Olympic baseball tournament. The IBAF aims to promote and develop baseball worldwide, ensuring fair play and adherence to the rules of the game.
In 2013, the IBAF merged with the International Softball Federation (ISF) to form the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC). This new organization continues to manage international baseball and softball events, fostering growth and collaboration between the two sports on a global scale.
