Internal Oblique
The Internal Oblique is a muscle located in the abdomen, playing a crucial role in trunk movement and stability. It lies beneath the External Oblique and runs diagonally from the lower ribs to the pelvis. This muscle helps in bending and twisting the torso, as well as supporting the abdominal organs.
In addition to its movement functions, the Internal Oblique contributes to core strength and stability. It works alongside other abdominal muscles, such as the Rectus Abdominis and Transverse Abdominis, to maintain posture and protect the spine during physical activities.
