Infrared Communication
Infrared Communication is a wireless technology that uses infrared light to transmit data between devices. It operates at wavelengths longer than visible light, making it invisible to the human eye. Commonly used in remote controls, TVs, and wireless peripherals, this method allows for short-range communication, typically within a few meters.
The technology relies on line-of-sight, meaning that the transmitting and receiving devices must be aligned without obstacles in between. Infrared communication is secure and efficient for personal area networks, but it is limited by its range and inability to penetrate walls, making it less suitable for long-distance communication.
