Inferior Vesical Artery
The Inferior Vesical Artery is a blood vessel that primarily supplies blood to the lower part of the bladder in both males and females. In males, it also provides blood to the prostate gland and seminal vesicles. This artery branches off from the Internal Iliac Artery, which is a major artery in the pelvis.
In females, the inferior vesical artery is often replaced by the Vaginal Artery, which supplies blood to the vagina and surrounding structures. The inferior vesical artery plays a crucial role in maintaining the health and function of the urinary system by ensuring adequate blood flow to these organs.
