Inelastic Collision
An inelastic collision is a type of collision where two objects collide and do not bounce apart completely. Instead, they stick together or deform, resulting in a loss of kinetic energy. This energy is transformed into other forms, such as heat or sound, making the total kinetic energy after the collision less than before.
Inelastic collisions are common in everyday situations, such as a car crash or a football tackle. In these cases, the objects involved, like cars or players, may crumple or change shape, demonstrating that not all energy is conserved in the form of motion.
