Indiana State Senate
The Indiana State Senate is the upper chamber of the Indiana General Assembly, which is the legislative body of the state of Indiana. It consists of 50 senators who represent various districts across the state. Senators serve four-year terms and are responsible for proposing and voting on state laws, budgets, and policies.
The Senate works alongside the Indiana House of Representatives, the lower chamber, to create legislation. The Senate also plays a key role in confirming appointments made by the governor and overseeing various state agencies. Together, these two chambers ensure that the interests of Indiana residents are represented in state government.
