Indiana Senate
The Indiana Senate is the upper chamber of the Indiana General Assembly, which is the state's legislative body. It consists of 50 members who are elected to serve four-year terms. The Senate is responsible for creating and passing state laws, as well as approving the state budget and confirming certain appointments made by the governor.
Each senator represents a specific district within Indiana, and the Senate operates under a set of rules and procedures to ensure orderly debate and decision-making. The leadership of the Senate includes the President Pro Tempore and the Minority Leader, who guide legislative priorities and manage discussions among senators.
