Immigrant Generations
Immigrant generations refer to the different groups of people who move from one country to another. The first generation includes those who were born in another country and later moved to a new one. Their children, known as the second generation, are born in the new country but have immigrant parents.
Subsequent generations, like the third and fourth, continue this pattern, with each generation becoming more integrated into the new society. These generations often experience varying degrees of cultural identity, language retention, and social integration, influenced by factors such as family, community, and education.
