Illinois Senators
Illinois has two U.S. Senators who represent the state in the United States Congress. These Senators are elected to serve six-year terms and are responsible for making federal laws, voting on legislation, and representing the interests of Illinois residents.
As of October 2023, the current Senators from Illinois are Dick Durbin and Tammy Duckworth. Durbin, a member of the Democratic Party, has served since 1997, while Duckworth, also a Democrat, was elected in 2016. Together, they work on various issues affecting the state, including healthcare, education, and infrastructure.
