Ice Fog
Ice fog is a weather phenomenon that occurs in extremely cold conditions, typically when temperatures drop below -20 degrees Fahrenheit (-29 degrees Celsius). It forms when water vapor in the air condenses into tiny ice crystals, creating a thick, misty appearance. This can significantly reduce visibility, making it challenging for drivers and pedestrians.
Ice fog is most commonly found in polar regions and during winter months in places like Alaska and Canada. It can also occur in valleys where cold air settles, trapping moisture. While it may look beautiful, ice fog can create hazardous conditions for travel and outdoor activities.
