ISSF
The International Shooting Sport Federation, or ISSF, is the governing body for Olympic shooting sports. Founded in 1907, it oversees various shooting disciplines, including rifle, pistol, and shotgun events. The ISSF is responsible for setting rules, organizing competitions, and promoting shooting sports worldwide.
The ISSF also plays a crucial role in the development of shooting as a sport, providing training and resources for athletes and coaches. It organizes major events, such as the ISSF World Championships and the ISSF World Cup, which serve as platforms for shooters to compete at high levels and qualify for the Olympic Games.
