IP law
IP law, or Intellectual Property law, is a legal framework that protects creations of the mind. This includes inventions, literary and artistic works, designs, symbols, names, and images used in commerce. The main goal of IP law is to encourage innovation and creativity by granting creators exclusive rights to their work for a certain period.
There are several types of IP law, including patents, copyrights, trademarks, and trade secrets. Each type serves a different purpose: patents protect inventions, copyrights safeguard artistic works, trademarks identify brands, and trade secrets cover confidential business information. Together, they help maintain a balance between protecting creators and promoting public access to knowledge.
