INSAT
INSAT stands for Indian National Satellite System, which is a series of multipurpose geostationary satellites launched by ISRO, the Indian Space Research Organisation. These satellites provide various services, including telecommunications, broadcasting, meteorology, and search and rescue operations.
The first satellite in the INSAT series, INSAT-1A, was launched in 1982. Since then, the system has expanded to include multiple satellites that work together to enhance communication and improve weather forecasting in India. The INSAT system plays a crucial role in supporting the country's development and disaster management efforts.
