IFV
An IFV, or Infantry Fighting Vehicle, is a type of armored vehicle designed to transport and support infantry troops in combat. Unlike traditional armored personnel carriers, IFVs are equipped with weapons systems, allowing them to engage enemy forces while providing protection for the soldiers inside. They typically feature tracks for mobility over rough terrain and are used by various military forces around the world.
IFVs can carry a small squad of soldiers and are often armed with cannons, machine guns, or anti-tank missiles. They play a crucial role in modern warfare, enhancing the effectiveness of ground troops by providing fire support and improving their survivability on the battlefield. Examples of IFVs include the BMP-2 and Bradley Fighting Vehicle.
