IFAD
The International Fund for Agricultural Development, or IFAD, is a specialized agency of the United Nations established in 1977. Its primary goal is to alleviate rural poverty and enhance food security in developing countries. IFAD provides financial support and expertise to improve agricultural practices, promote sustainable development, and empower smallholder farmers.
IFAD works with governments, local organizations, and communities to implement projects that boost agricultural productivity and increase access to markets. By focusing on rural development, IFAD aims to create lasting change, improve livelihoods, and foster economic growth in some of the world's most vulnerable regions.
