Hwanung
Hwanung is a figure in Korean mythology, known as the son of Hwanin, the "Lord of Heaven." According to legend, Hwanung descended from the heavens to Earth to help humanity. He is often associated with the founding of the Korean people and is believed to have established a heavenly city on Mount Baekdu.
Hwanung is also linked to the creation of the first Korean kingdom, Gojoseon. He is said to have transformed a bear and a tiger into women, one of whom became the mother of Dangun, the legendary founder of Gojoseon. This story highlights Hwanung's role in shaping Korean identity and culture.
