Hungarian Conquest
The Hungarian Conquest refers to the period in the late 9th century when the Magyar tribes, led by their chieftain Árpád, migrated into the Carpathian Basin. This movement was part of a larger wave of migrations in Europe, and the Magyars settled in the region that would later become modern-day Hungary.
During this time, the Magyars established their dominance over the local populations and began to form a new state. The conquest laid the foundation for the future Kingdom of Hungary, which would play a significant role in European history.
