Hung Kings
The Hung Kings are a legendary dynasty in Vietnamese history, believed to have ruled from around 2879 to 258 BC. They are credited with founding the first Vietnamese state, known as Van Lang, and are celebrated for their contributions to agriculture, culture, and governance. The Hung Kings are often associated with the worship of Mother Goddess and the establishment of various traditions in Vietnam.
Each year, the Vietnamese people commemorate the Hung Kings through the Hung Kings' Temple Festival, which takes place on the 10th day of the third lunar month. This festival honors their legacy and promotes national pride, reflecting the importance of the Hung Kings in Vietnamese identity and history.
