Huey P. Long
Huey P. Long was an influential American politician who served as the Governor of Louisiana from 1928 to 1932 and later as a U.S. Senator. Known for his populist approach, he advocated for wealth redistribution and social reforms, aiming to improve the lives of the poor and working-class citizens. His policies included free textbooks for students and improved infrastructure.
Long was a controversial figure, often criticized for his authoritarian style and political tactics. He founded the Share Our Wealth movement, which sought to limit personal fortunes and provide a guaranteed income for all citizens. His life was cut short when he was assassinated in 1935.
