Hucul
The Hucul is a small horse breed native to the Carpathian Mountains in Ukraine and Romania. Known for their strength and endurance, Huculs are well-suited for mountainous terrain and are often used for riding, pack work, and agricultural tasks. They typically stand between 13 to 14.2 hands high and have a sturdy build with a thick mane and tail.
Huculs are characterized by their calm temperament and intelligence, making them excellent companions for both experienced riders and beginners. Their coat can vary in color, including bay, black, and chestnut. This breed is also recognized for its unique gait, which allows for smooth movement over rough landscapes.
