Hubert Minnis
Hubert Minnis is a Bahamian politician who served as the Prime Minister of the Bahamas from May 2017 to September 2021. He is a member of the Free National Movement (FNM) party and has represented the Killarney constituency in the House of Assembly since 2007. Before entering politics, Minnis was a successful physician and businessman.
During his tenure as Prime Minister, Minnis focused on issues such as economic growth, healthcare reform, and disaster recovery, particularly following the devastation caused by Hurricane Dorian in 2019. His government faced challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic, which impacted the Bahamas' tourism-dependent economy.
