Hubbard Glacier is a large tidewater glacier located in the eastern part of the Alaska Range, near the town of Yakutat, Alaska. It is approximately 76 miles long and 7 miles wide, making it one of the largest glaciers in North America. The glacier flows from the Saint Elias Mountains into Disenchantment Bay, where it calves icebergs into the water. The glacier is known for its dynamic movement and frequent calving events, which can create large waves in the bay. Hubbard Glacier is part of the larger Glacier Bay National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that showcases stunning glacial landscapes and diverse ecosystems.
