Howard Devoto is an English musician and songwriter, best known as the lead vocalist of the influential punk band Buzzcocks. He co-wrote some of their early hits, including "Ever Fallen in Love (With Someone You Shouldn't've)." After leaving Buzzcocks in 1975, he formed the band Magazine, which blended punk with art rock and gained critical acclaim. In addition to his work with Buzzcocks and Magazine, Devoto has pursued a solo career and collaborated with various artists. His distinctive voice and innovative songwriting have made him a significant figure in the post-punk music scene, influencing many musicians who followed.
