Horizon League
The Horizon League is a collegiate athletic conference in the United States, primarily composed of schools from the Midwest and Northeast regions. Founded in 1979, it originally started as the Midwestern City Conference and was renamed in 2001. The league sponsors various sports, including basketball, soccer, and volleyball, and is known for its competitive programs.
Member institutions of the Horizon League participate in NCAA Division I athletics. The conference is recognized for its strong basketball programs, with teams competing for the Horizon League Championship and a chance to participate in the NCAA Tournament.
