Hmong Daw
Hmong Daw is a dialect of the Hmong language, which is part of the Hmong-Mien language family. It is primarily spoken by the Hmong people, an ethnic group originally from the mountainous regions of China, Vietnam, Laos, and Thailand. Hmong Daw is one of the two main dialects, the other being Hmong Njua.
The language uses a Romanized script called Hmong Romanized Popular Alphabet (RPA), which was developed in the 1950s. Hmong Daw is characterized by its tonal nature, meaning that the pitch used when pronouncing words can change their meanings. This dialect is an important aspect of Hmong culture and identity.
