Hindu Ceremonies
Hindu ceremonies, known as pujas, are rituals performed to honor deities and seek blessings. These ceremonies can vary widely, from daily offerings at home shrines to elaborate celebrations during festivals like Diwali and Holi. Each ceremony typically involves chanting of mantras, lighting of lamps, and making offerings of flowers, fruits, and sweets.
Another important aspect of Hindu ceremonies is the samskara, which are rites of passage marking significant life events. Examples include namakarana (naming ceremony), upanayana (sacred thread ceremony), and vivaha (marriage). These rituals are deeply rooted in tradition and often involve family and community participation.
