Himalayan Black Bear
The Himalayan Black Bear, also known as the Asian Black Bear, is a medium-sized bear species found in the mountainous regions of the Himalayas. They typically have a thick black coat with a distinctive white crescent-shaped mark on their chest. These bears are primarily herbivorous, feeding on fruits, nuts, and vegetation, but they may also consume insects and small animals.
Himalayan Black Bears are excellent climbers, often seen foraging in trees for food. They inhabit forests at elevations ranging from 1,500 to 3,000 meters. These bears are generally solitary, except during mating season or when a mother is raising her cubs.
