Hikaru Shindo is the main character in the manga and anime series Hikaru no Go. He is a young boy who discovers a mysterious Go board in his grandfather's attic, which leads him to become involved in the ancient board game of Go. As Hikaru plays, he becomes possessed by the spirit of Sai, a talented Go player from the Heian period.
