Hexagons
A hexagon is a six-sided polygon, characterized by its six edges and six vertices. The interior angles of a regular hexagon, where all sides and angles are equal, measure 120 degrees each. Hexagons can be found in various natural and man-made structures, such as honeycombs created by bees and tiles used in flooring.
Hexagons are significant in mathematics and geometry, often studied for their unique properties. They can tessellate, meaning they can cover a plane without gaps or overlaps. This makes them useful in design and architecture, as seen in geodesic domes and patterned fabrics.
