Heteroromanticism
Heteroromanticism refers to a romantic attraction towards individuals of the opposite gender. It is a term often used in discussions about sexual orientation and romantic preferences, particularly within the context of the LGBTQ+ community. Heteroromantic individuals may identify as heterosexual, bisexual, or pansexual, but their romantic feelings are specifically directed towards those of the opposite sex.
This concept is distinct from sexual attraction, which may not necessarily align with romantic feelings. For example, a person may identify as bisexual but experience heteroromantic feelings, meaning they are romantically interested in individuals of the opposite gender while also being sexually attracted to multiple genders.
