Henry Tift College
Henry Tift College was a private liberal arts college located in Tifton, Georgia. Founded in 1901, it was named after Henry Tift, a prominent local businessman and philanthropist. The college offered a range of undergraduate programs and was known for its commitment to providing a quality education in a supportive environment.
In 1934, Henry Tift College merged with the University System of Georgia, leading to its closure as an independent institution. The campus eventually became home to Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, which continues to serve the educational needs of the region today.
