Henry M. Morris (1918-2006) was an American engineer and creationist, best known for his role in promoting the belief in a young Earth. He co-authored the influential book, The Genesis Flood, which argued against the theory of evolution and supported a literal interpretation of the Bible regarding the origins of the Earth. Morris founded the Institute for Creation Research (ICR) in 1970, which aimed to provide scientific support for creationism.
