Henry Hastings, 6th Earl of Huntingdon
Henry Hastings, 6th Earl of Huntingdon (1536–1604), was an English nobleman known for his role in the political and religious landscape of the 16th century. He was the son of Henry Hastings, 5th Earl of Huntingdon and inherited the title in 1588. As a prominent figure, he was involved in various court intrigues and supported the Protestant cause during the English Reformation.
Hastings was also a patron of the arts and education, contributing to the establishment of St. John's College, Cambridge. His lineage included connections to notable families, and he was a cousin to Lady Jane Grey, the nine-day queen. His legacy includes his efforts to promote Protestantism and his influence in the English nobility.
