Henry Hastings, 2nd Earl of Huntingdon
Henry Hastings, 2nd Earl of Huntingdon (c. 1535–1595), was an English nobleman known for his role in the political and social landscape of the late 16th century. He was the son of Henry Hastings, 1st Earl of Huntingdon and Mary Hungerford. As a member of the Hastings family, he inherited the title and estates, which included significant lands in Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire.
Hastings was a supporter of the Protestant Reformation and held various positions in the court of Queen Elizabeth I. He was involved in local governance and served as a member of the House of Lords. His legacy includes contributions to the development of his estates and the promotion of Protestantism in England.
