Henry Hamilton
Henry Hamilton was a British military officer and politician during the 18th century. He is best known for his role as the Lieutenant Governor of the Province of Quebec from 1764 to 1768. Hamilton played a significant part in the early governance of the region following the Seven Years' War, which resulted in British control over Canada.
In addition to his political career, Hamilton was involved in military operations during the American Revolutionary War. He served as the commander of British forces in the Ohio Valley and was known for his efforts to maintain British influence in the region against American expansion.
