Henry Ford II
Henry Ford II was an American businessman and the grandson of Henry Ford, the founder of the Ford Motor Company. Born on September 4, 1917, he played a significant role in the automotive industry, particularly during the mid-20th century. He became president of the company in 1943 and later served as its chairman, helping to modernize the company and expand its global reach.
Under his leadership, Ford introduced innovative management practices and new car models, including the popular Ford Mustang. Henry Ford II was instrumental in navigating the company through challenges, including competition and economic shifts, until his retirement in 1979. He passed away on September 29, 1987.
