Hellenic Fire Service
The Hellenic Fire Service is the national firefighting organization of Greece. Established in 1998, it operates under the Ministry of Citizen Protection. Its primary mission is to prevent and extinguish fires, protect lives, and safeguard property and the environment.
In addition to firefighting, the Hellenic Fire Service is involved in rescue operations during natural disasters, such as floods and earthquakes. The organization also conducts public awareness campaigns about fire safety and prevention, ensuring that citizens are informed and prepared for emergencies.
