Hawaii State Legislature
The Hawaii State Legislature is the legislative branch of the state government of Hawaii. It is a bicameral body, consisting of two chambers: the Hawaii House of Representatives and the Hawaii Senate. The legislature meets annually to discuss and pass laws, with sessions typically starting in January and lasting for about 60 days.
Members of the House of Representatives serve two-year terms, while Senators serve four-year terms. The legislature is responsible for creating state laws, approving the state budget, and addressing various issues affecting the residents of Hawaii, such as education, health care, and environmental protection.
