Hashgraph
Hashgraph is a distributed ledger technology that enables fast and secure transactions without the need for a central authority. It uses a unique consensus algorithm called Gossip about Gossip, which allows nodes in the network to share information efficiently. This results in high throughput and low latency, making it suitable for various applications, including finance and supply chain management.
Unlike traditional blockchains, Hashgraph does not rely on mining, which reduces energy consumption and increases speed. It also provides strong security through its Asynchronous Byzantine Fault Tolerance (ABFT) mechanism, ensuring that the network can reach consensus even if some nodes act maliciously or fail.
