Harry Haft
Harry Haft was a Polish-born Jewish boxer who became known for his survival during the Holocaust. He was imprisoned in several concentration camps, including Auschwitz, where he was forced to fight other inmates for the entertainment of Nazi guards.
After World War II, Haft immigrated to the United States, where he pursued a professional boxing career. He fought notable opponents, including Rocky Marciano, and later shared his harrowing experiences in a memoir, shedding light on the brutality of the Holocaust and the resilience of the human spirit.
