Harpoons
A harpoon is a long spear-like weapon used for hunting large sea animals, such as whales and fish. It typically has a barbed tip that allows it to catch and hold onto the prey once it is thrown or shot. Harpoons can be used from boats or from the shore, and they have been essential tools for many cultures throughout history.
Modern harpoons are often attached to a line or cable, allowing hunters to retrieve the captured animal. They are commonly used in commercial whaling and fishing industries, as well as in sports fishing. The design and materials of harpoons have evolved, but their primary function remains the same.
