Hanoverian League
The Hanoverian League was a political alliance formed in 1854 among several German states, primarily led by the Kingdom of Hanover. Its main purpose was to promote mutual interests and cooperation among its members, particularly in response to the growing influence of Prussia in German affairs. The league aimed to strengthen the position of its member states against external pressures.
The league included states like Saxony and Nassau, and it was part of a broader context of German nationalism and regional politics during the 19th century. However, the Hanoverian League was short-lived, as it dissolved in 1866 following the Austro-Prussian War, which significantly altered the political landscape of Germany.
