Hannah More
Hannah More (1745-1833) was an English writer, philanthropist, and social reformer. She is best known for her contributions to literature and education, particularly in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. More wrote plays, poems, and essays, advocating for moral improvement and social change. She was also involved in the Sunday School movement, promoting education for the poor.
In addition to her literary work, More was a key figure in the Clapham Sect, a group of evangelical Christians who sought to address social issues of their time. Her efforts in education and social reform significantly impacted the lives of many, particularly women and children.
