Hallucigenia
Hallucigenia is a prehistoric creature that lived during the Cambrian period, around 508 million years ago. It was discovered in the Burgess Shale formation in Canada and is known for its unusual appearance, featuring a long, worm-like body with spines along its back and multiple pairs of legs.
Initially, scientists struggled to classify Hallucigenia due to its bizarre shape. It is now believed to be a type of lobopod, a group of soft-bodied animals. Its unique features provide valuable insights into early animal evolution and the diversity of life during the Cambrian explosion.
