Hallowe'en
Hallowe'en, also known as Halloween, is celebrated on October 31st each year. It originated from the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, when people believed that the boundary between the living and the dead was blurred. During this time, people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off roaming spirits.
Today, Hallowe'en is marked by various traditions, including trick-or-treating, where children dress in costumes and go door-to-door collecting candy. Many people also decorate their homes with jack-o'-lanterns, made from carved pumpkins, and host parties featuring spooky themes and activities.
