Hallasan Mountain
Hallasan Mountain is the highest peak in South Korea, standing at 1,947 meters (6,388 feet) above sea level. Located on Jeju Island, it is a shield volcano and a prominent feature of Hallasan National Park. The mountain is known for its diverse ecosystems, including various plant and animal species.
The summit of Hallasan features a crater lake called Baengnokdam, which translates to "white deer lake." The mountain is a popular hiking destination, with trails that offer stunning views of the surrounding landscape. It is also a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, highlighting its ecological significance.
